Colombia: a new top destination

It appears that Colombia has reached the Top 10 list of 'hottest' destinations in the world... and i am not talking only about the weather. The Lonely Planet has just named it the 9th best tourist destination for this year, even above Germany who is hosting the Football World Cup. This list was made after interviewing 200 journalists who have traveled all around the world.

And thats not all. The english newspaper, The Guardian, published earlier this month an article where it highlights not only the beauty of Cartagena, but also everything that it has to offer. Its a very good article and I really recommend it because it describes the city parallel to the thoughts of Gabriel Garcia Márquez (Gabo). If you wish to read the article click here.

I also searched a bit further and found that The Guardian had also published, back in October, an article about Bogotá called: Living the high life in the Andes. With sentences like "Avoid the trouble spots and there's a vibrant centre and plenty of culture in Colombia's capital", James Bedding gives some tips about how to enjoy the city and where to go.
